QUARTERLY SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Follow the steps to submit an application.

Review Eligibility and Grantmaking Priorities

Only organizations that are tax-exempt under the IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) are eligible for grant funding from the Mathile Family Foundation.

Ensure your program aligns with our Mission: Transforming the lives of those in need through meaningful collaborations that create hope and opportunity.

Requests are not considered for:
  • Endowment funds
  • Mass funding appeals
  • Sponsorships
  • Advertising for fundraising events tickets
  • Grants or loans to individuals
  • Political campaigns or activities
  • Organizations outside the United States

The Mathile Family Foundation will accept one application per year (i.e. four quarters following the date of the last application) from any qualifying organization. In addition, all grant requirements, including a final report, must be completed before consideration of further funding.

Geographic Priority

We give the highest priority to eligible organizations that serve children and families in need in the Greater Dayton area.

Grant Awards

The Foundation considers applications for grant amounts of $1,000 and higher. A reasonable request should take into account its proportion to the overall program budget and demonstrate support from other funding sources and community supports. Ongoing work should also be sustainable.

Create an Online Account

The Mathile Family Foundation has upgraded to a new online grant platform. Both new and returning applicants must have an account in the system. After logging in, applicants will be required to create a profile by entering your Tax ID Number/EIN. Returning applicants will have the opportunity to connect to previously provided information but may be asked for some information to be re-entered or confirmed. Multiple user accounts may be created for each applicant organization, giving you the ability to see applications started and submitted by others in your organization and to work collaboratively to complete an application. Once you create a login, you will use the same credentials to access Grant Interest Forms, Full Applications, and Final Reports.

Complete a Grant Interest Form or Application

GRANT INTEREST FORM

We recommend that organizations who have never received funding, or past grantees who are requesting funds for a new project, submit a Grant Interest Form. When you log in, the Grant Interest Form is listed under Opportunities and is now known as the New Organization/Project Application.

New Organization/Project Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and our staff will communicate whether your program is within the mission and funding priorities of the Mathile Family Foundation. It will take several weeks to respond with feedback from the Grant Committee. If invited to apply, the full application will be available to you on your user dashboard in the In Progress menu.

FULL APPLICATION

Returning grantees seeking funding for a previously or currently funded project should log in to the GOapply grant portal and select the Application for the Returning Grantee Process.

Applications will only be accepted online. Mailed, emailed, or faxed applications will not be accepted.
